Recruitment procedure for banking job generally comprises written test and then interview. Written test has both objective and descriptive type questions and duration is around 2 hours. From 2011 people have to pass the Common Written Examination conducted by the institute of Banking and Personal Section (IPBS) as a pre-requisite to be eligible for banking Clerical cadre posts in various public sector banks which covers 19 banks currently. IBPS issues score cards and based on marking different banks short the candidates and call them for further rounds like interview and test.
