Employees’ State Insurance scheme (ESI) or कर्मचारी राज्य बीमा is a self-financing social security and health insurance scheme for Indian workers. ESIC established in 1048It not only provides the monitory benefits but also look after the medical benefits to the employee through the various dispensaries and hospitals. Both employer and employee contribute a fixed amount of the salary. The head office of ESIC is in New Delhi.
